Quick question: How do we know that this Darryl Webster is actually Darryl Webster the rider?
After all, it's not hard to go an assume an identity and do a bit of stirring is it?

Dave, from your rambling post on the other thread I seem to now know roughly where this comment has come from.
My post was in relation to this comment in the link in the OPGossip about who used what included a uk " untouchable" who got a certain KOM in a certein big tour using HGH and steroid use amongst serveral top names on the uk scene.
I believe Gotthetshirt2 realises this and that I wasn't making direct reference to him but if not I apologise. As I've said throughout this thread making comments like that without any evidence some 20 years down the line is pointless. As for whether the comments have really been made by Daryl Webster, who knows but there is enough in the posts under his name to suggest that if it isn't him then it is someone who knows a lot about his career!
Yours sincerely

what is rambling about it? it's 25 years ago, he's retired from cycling entirely it seems. leave RM alone. How is that rambling?0 -

You seem to be attributing the comments to me though.0 -

you shouldn't have provoked him re Webster's comment. Pick on someone currently in the sport, taking money from it at least in big teams.0 -
Jeez did you have a crash in the pre helmet area or something? The Webster comment was already there, i didn't post it. I was interested to see if the accused party had anything to say on the issue so I may have been being nosey but Millar presumably saw the thread anyway or wouldn't have seen my reply would he? If I've inadvertently offended one of cycling's greats then I apologise to him. My posts on tis thread generally say the same as you, it's history so leave it but I'm not the one who raked it up. You seem to have some issues and not only do you make personal attacks on this thread you then do it on an unrelated thread 2 days later. I may be a nobody but it's no worse than being a failed wannabe0

I agree, I'm a failed wannabe*, who tried...and failed and doesn't take it out on people trial by forum style. Millar, others, were one in a million..leave them alone

If it's not Darryl Webster who has posted this so called gossip then it's someone who doesn't like him very much . It's more serious than pointless as making accusations of a defamatory nature unless you can back them up with evidence is the kind of thing that sees the OP embroiled in a libel case .
That's why you find a sticky about making defamatory posts at the top of the site . :?

Someone using the name Daryl Webster has popped up on various forums making vague accusations about the past. Seems to be on a bit of a witch hunt so probably best ignored, there are somethings that are best left in the past and in the big scheme of things will raking up the past about people like Robert who have done countless good for the sport really achieve anything? Probably not.0
