Have you been watching Rocky 4?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Wow, really. I agree that is ill advised.Contador is the Greatest0 -
I think we can safely say that was a bit of match fixing.
Looked to me as if Brajkovic could have dropped Contador.
Been going on since the big chat of Chamrouse, if not before.
Contador looks as good as he did, this time, last year.
As for the time, it had to be slow. Part headwind and all those changes of pace."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
those lads today with the short jumps couldn't have handled proper attacks like Mayo, Tyler

Which is why comparing times from different eras and different races and trying to read stuff into it is kinda pointless.0 -

Happy to be where he was is how I read Brajkovic's expression and steady pace. The power meters should be banned though as its narrowing the gap too much and warns riders when to adjust pace......what you think you can handle as pace should be how races are won not what the computer says. Ban garmin stuff0 -
Haha, Flandis only 1min down on L'elefantino - what a joke.Contador is the Greatest0

same every time they race it...but not seen 29 minute climbs yet up there, have you :roll:0 -
Brajkovic could have won that but it made sense just to let it unravel the way it did... didn't need to take the risk especially early on down the mountain.. gifted sort of..
I think Bertie thanked him at the finish... there was moments where I thought Contador was going to blow up..
45 mins but windy..."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -
There's been a lot of obscure thread baiting in the last couple of days.
Some very "odd" comments and theories have appeared.........."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0
