Hi all, sorry its been so long since I have been around, I have been busy at work and hom and have just returned from a holiday.

This place has always been a great support to me and as such I wanted to just post a quick update on how im doing (Some of you have seen this on my blog) ...Thanks again for all the support !

My road is and has been a VERY long one, but I am now around 4/5 stone away from my “Total” Goal and as such I wanted to take a quick look at where I have come from.

at over 550lbs this is where I started:

SICK-1.jpg

At around 400lbs this was the last time I took a vacation:

DSCN1396.jpg

"Proof, it it were needed how long my road is, after losing 150lbs I still looked this bad."

and finally, after my vacation last week I am now around 290lbs, I am getting there, but I can’t ever forget where I came from !

SDC12752.jpg

My next goal is to have lost another 35-45lbs by Dec 31st this year, if I do that then I am in touching distance !!!!

Wish me luck ! and thans again, Gaz

Well done, I am awestruck by how far you have come, and I thought shedding 14lbs was going to be hard!

Great work Gaz, for me the biggest difference in the photo's is that you are smiling in the last one! You are obviously (and rightly) proud of a great achievement! Inspiring!

  • It's the difference in the expressions on the three photos that I find most interesting, goes from "Do you have to point that thing at me", to, "Wait, now take one from my other side", in three photos.

    Well done, Gaz.

I am amazed and inspired by your efforts good sir.

Not sure I have the bottle for before and after pictures myself. I'm only 2 weeks in to my weight loss / health gain efforts and it hurts already.

I am going to bookmark this page and keeping coming back when I feel I can't be bothered with the bike today, because I am sure it will happen.

    I have to say this.

Are you sure you are being realistic about your goal weight?

You don't look like a man who needs to lose 5 stone.

To be fair I do need to, but I have a few stone of skin I need to "cut" away, I suppose without that skin I would be there or there abouts at the goal weight I have set.
