Last week, I had to cycle several miles in the rain, wearing baggy shorts and bright red crocs. Feet were somewhat chilly, and given that I was on the Brompton, I was pleasantly surprised by the total absence of clown jokes...

I wore my long sleeve top yesterday so today it's back to t-shirt. There is a massive pile of stuff I've cycled in this week in the corner of my bedroom waiting for me to be arsed to wash it. If it isn;t soaked in sweat then it will have been soaked in a down pour.

Luckily I've got just enough stuff to see me through the week - even a bad one like this.

Bib shorts, ss jersey, arm and knee warmers in the mornings. short sleeves and legs on the way home, unless it's wet. Then I'll cover my knees.

Bah. You've just reminded me to check my clothes for the ride home.

One properly wet Shutt sportswool jersey. Bugger.

Hung it in front of the air-con outlets (which are inside). What's the betting it's still nice and clammy by home-time?
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.

I hate that feeling when you are 3/4 of the way home, wet and tired and getting wetter and tireder because you are too wet and tired to go quicker
