Augé too. Breakaway specialist extraordinaire, that guy. Never wins... but that's hardly the point 8)

    Indeed.

I just hope Tankink has a good ride in the Dauphine. I'm in the process of getting stuff together for a big banner for him for the TdF prologue, and, since he missed the Tour cut last year, I'm hoping he'll get back in and make my effort worthwhile.

He won't do the TdF this year either... though he might still visit the start in Rotterdam obviously... unless you have to take the banner to Austria..

    Shame.

Agreed it's a shame, he's one of the more outspoken riders of the peloton

Worth mentioning for the benefit of those not watching the live commentary ...Carlton is undecided as to whether it was the Montgolfier brothers or God that invented the hot air balloon

No, that's not right. He was wondering whether they invented or discovered the hot air balloon. Like, maybe they found one under a bush one day.

He then wondered whether God invented electricity.

I stand corrected. Of course both are important questions that needed to be raised

Carlton commentary seems to be on twice, once time delayed by 10 seconds.

    He's almost listenable!

The gap is not coming down much, 25km to go and 3.30. Time is running out for the bunch to react.

This could be quite close. 25km to go, 3'33" for the break. Isasi only 34" down on GC.

    But with that TT tomorrow...

Astana killing the chase a bit. Sprinters teams burned themselves out too early.

Haedo shows there's only one real sprinter in the Dauphine.
Made the others look like cart horses.
    Such a messy sprint.

    Oh come on Bennati.

He's a useless git, should be bossing the sprints here!

Yeah, but probably not enough to keep it until the finish.

Can the Welshman climb?? Me thinks not, bye bye green.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

Haedo was going so fast he had to backpedal to slow down his Gruber to stop it from exploding.
