Better not be EBH in 3'rd. I was taking the piss out of him in CR report yesterdayFckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0
-
Ahhh, cyclingnews says Biggles opened the sprint too early.
AGAIN.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
He looked too thin for Biggles0
-
It was Geraint Thomas in 3rd, no doubt.0
-
its Thomas not EBH0
-
I think the jury might review this one.
Good pick Andrew. I swapped from Dumoulin to EBH and for a moment saw Dumoulin had been dropped because of a crash and that EBH was third. The moment ended quickly!0 -
PTP coup for the monkey..
astana looked to be taking it all very seriously"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -
Given that Bole finished with Velit's head in his armpit I think a jury review is in order.0
-
I think afx might find the only article that says Velits won and use that as the official results for PTP0

Results are up on the official site. Bole wins. Boo!0

Why is EBH 5 minutes down for this stage if he led out the sprint?'Do not compare your bike to others, for always there will be greater and lesser bikes'0

"The Dauphine Effect" ?0

i'm sure Thomas slipped a gear in the sprint too.. maybe he could've done better still. Great result for him either way. I think he may have a good tour ya know.0

Either that or he lead it out waaaaay too early.
Whatever, looks like it's the ENECO for him again this year0 -

Yes, it's bonkers.
Millar's GC dreams aren't that bonkers really. Considering the climbing and TT miles this race features, the field isn't particularly deep. It certainly makes sense for Garmin to keep the GC tight for now and see what Dave can do on Wednesday.
Other than Contador, one of the biggest threats to Millar's attempt on this race looks to me to be a breakaway stealing time.0 -
Thomas is in the Green Jersey now...0

I would *love* to see Dave zoom up the Alpe.
But I bet he finishes 5 mins down....___________________

Haimar Zubeldia's Tour de France campaign for Lance Armstrong's RadioShack team is under threat after the Spaniard suffered a fracture in a crash on Monday.
Zubeldia was one of several riders to crash on the first stage of the Dauphine Criterium, a key warm-up stage race for next month's Tour de France, and has now been ruled out of this week's race.
RadioShack also said the 33-year-old Spanish climbing specialist had a plate fitted to a fractured radius bone on his right forearm during a minor operation at a local hospital."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Last year he finished 2:28 down on Szmyd and Valverde on the Ventoux stage, only finishing 15 seconds behind Contador. Alpe d'huez is not as long a climb but it does have the Croix de Fer beforehand. I think Garmin's main hope is that Millar does well enough in the time trial to take the leader's jersey for a day or two rather than him winning overall. There is also the risoul stage and the chamrousse stage where significant time could be lost.0 -
