They aren't as strong as good groupset brakes but fine on a racing / TT bike...

    IMO...

They are a bugger to keep centered. But once set correctly - they work fine IMO.

But as Nap said - there are stronger brakes out there. But I still find I can stop just fine when I need to.

ah right, I've read mixed reviews tbh. might just get some ultegra SL's to match the rest of the kit!

If you want something a little different, try the Mavic SSC brakes, on special at CRC here:

It's a TT bike, you shouldn't be touching the brakes anyway ;)

Yes - I agree. Black hoods are on the way - and all other blue bits are being replaced with red or black ones.

The only thing blue left will be my Garmin!

How is the ride on this compared to your Trek?
And does this come in lighter or heavier? :)

Different ride to the Trek. Soaks up bumps better, but also stiffer when you power down. BOth are 56cm - but the S3 rides a lot larger.

And I want to say the aero tubes on the S3 make it faster. But I have no proof of this. :)

It came in ever so slightly heavier than the Trek - but that may be due to some new Sram Force bits replacing some old Sram Red bits (that were lighter). Still in the neighborhood of 7kg built up with race wheels.

Very nice. I’ve not gotten much time on Cervelo’s because of sponsorship reasons, but they make fantastic bikes. They don’t do a lot of useless gimmicky garbage like BB30 Tapered steerers, etc. yet somehow their bikes are better for it. Maybe because they actually devote time to engineering instead of marketing. Plus no integrated seat post so you can actually fit the damn thing in a regular bike box so you can check it when you need to fly.

Made some changes. Gone is the blue and in is all red and black!

My training wheels with PowerTap hub instead of the racing Zipps. 3T stem and bars. Elite cages. New KCNC bits in red.

That looks great Colin, I'm jealous. If I'd not got my Colnago CX-1 I'd be having a Cervelo.

I'm getting there, earning near enough minimum wage and have such expensive interests make it difficult at times! The long term plan is to have Di2 and a pair of 404's on it.

    It's taking shape:
