Shame the temperature made me sweat so much that my eyes were stinging most of the ride. Better than sitting at my desk staring at a PC screen though :)
I pushed it and had an av of 19.2mph

Then I went and sat in the pub around the corner....perfect afternoon.+ my GF text me to ask me out to dinner ..her treat.....bargain :D

I'll be sitting on my sofa recovering from a double pelvic fracture (which is the same thing I've been doing for 8 weeks now - boring!) & feeling extremely jealous of the lot of you out on your bikes or even just sitting outside enjoying the sun :(

Enjoy the weather - 28C on Sunday & no clouds in London according to the Met Office

I'm off to my other half's nieces 18th birthday party. Turns out is't a pool party............
I won't be in the pool, but I will be enjoying the scenery with a cold beer or two. I suspect that dark glasses may be necessary.
    Need I say more ?

Other than I'm obviously going to hell (If there was such a place !!)

Dark glasses and probably some loose fitting shorts too.

I don't know whether to plan my riding for saturday or sunday. I plan to visit winesville too but I'm half hoping I meet Mr. Moderation there as well. Would like to go to thetford forest too one day this weekend to try my new camera out.

I thought you was mad then as I misread Dorchester as Doncaster and thought whose fav loop would go through Doncaster.

Yesterday, cycled out to Leith Hill, did a hill repeat session and then came back via Ranmore and Box Hill... 65 miles in total, first time over 50 this year. I was carrying more bottles than a tour de france domestique* but still suffered.

    *ok slight exaggeration

    Did 118 miles today, mixed.

Went to Dalby Forest and we was on a track for around 5 miles that was nothing but gravel and crap lol.

Was quite slow at 17mph avg so I made up for that by doing the first 12 to the square at nearly 22mph avg then the last 11 miles at just under 20 and a half mph avg into a headwind and my legs are knackered now.

I did 110miles solo, not through Doncaster as that's just a little to far away.Had a bit of a mishap when i was trying to clean my shades in a small stream by the side of a lane when i lost my balance. One foot went into the stream,as i steadied myself i fell side ways into stinging nettles.Got stung all down my right arm&leg ouch!Good job no one was about to see me,as it would've looked quiet comical.Later on i had to do an emergency stop at 30 odd mph,as a car(idiot)decided for no good reason to stop in the middle of a lane(downhill).Ended up in the verge as i could'nt unclipp fast enough.Once again bloody stinging nettles, but this time my left arm took the brunt. When i got home i found an array of plant life in my rear pockets, twigs, leaves etc.Bit of unusual day as normaly nothing of note happens when i go out. That's hopefully the bad trip out of the way for the year.I still enjoyed the ride though

I'm racing at betteshanger saturday afternoon, 25 deg C, woohoo. :D

Betteshanger, I've relatives who live there. As I recall it makes your average ex-pit village look like Las vegas.

It's so very small, I assume it's the start point dmc.

Thats quite a nice loop, quite flat tho.
The sheriff hutton loop is great fun, killer climbs and a sweet descent down terrington bank.

If you head East a bit from bulmer bank towards castle howard, then over to Kirkham priory, then down through sand hutton towards York, it shouldn't be much longer and is quite a nice alternative.

I did that route cause it's a 10 mile TT course and part of the 13 miles, I only averaged like abit over 19mph for that hilly bit, was disappointed, I manage to average nearly 22 on the same bit in a TT, amazing what a number does.

That's what I did yesterday, I was looking back and was surprised I did most of it technically solo as I was miles off the front on the hills and on the flats, was just 3 other people, they did not mind though.

I seem to perform better on hills when the whole ride is hilly too, on the ride yesterday, after all the flat the hills where buggering me up for some reason.
