I would rather not watch any Oz games if it meant I could avoid their "beer"

True, but I'd rather sit there with a cup of p1ss rather than a glass of Carling. And I'm sure that's what the OP was thinking!

+1. London Pride is a really well-balanced beer. Also, I drank 3 cans while watching the match last night and, guess what, a far from convincing England team scored 3 goals! I think I've found a way of drinking them into the final....

Yes, probably because they think its good - was there in Feb/March, though I have been several times, I still forgot how bad all the beer was, I got thoroughly depressed! Even more depressing, found European beers (draft and bottled) - turned out they were "brewed in Australia" - tasted all wrong!

Keep it up! Maybe go to ESB when we are in a penalty shoot out!

Oh God I forgot about this. Heineken brewed in Ballarat or somewhere... "Get it out of my mouth, it tastes funny!"

Couple of problems, Stella being Belgian (or is that an insult to both countries :) ), and cider isn't beer.

Japan - Asahi, Kirin or Sapporo
Australia - You don't want to drink any of the rubbish available in the UK (XXX, Fosters etc), try to source something like Cooper's made by a local brewer in Victoria

Slovenia has Lasko beer. The Slovaks don't really have their own beer (I think) - they go for the Czech stuff.

France would be Desperados surely? To be honest though, whenever I've been to france the beer everyone seems to drink is the cheap stuff you get from the local shops in big 30+ bottle boxes and the bottles are only slightly bigger than a coke can. Good stuff though!

Oh and as for England is there no vote for Bombardier "The drink of England!" or is that more of a rugby thing

For France - Fisher (from Alscace)

For Slovakia, you'll have to go Czech so Pilsner Urquell or the real Budweiser.

For Chile get some red wine in.

In general, look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InBev_brands. The world's biggest beer company - beers all over.

I did this back in 1994 with the guy in the next door room at Uni (who has since become very famous). It's not easy finding them. I spent many an hour driving round Bristol looking for specialist off licences. Are Saudi Arabia in it this year - that was a complete non starter.
