I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has successfully incorporating Tabata Intervals into their training schedule?

Abstract for the study here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8897 ... t=Abstract

The original study had participants doing them 5 days per week for 6 weeks which would probably fry my brain.

I did it for a while. It improved my short efforts but not my cycling in general.

I started a thread on it.

did the Tabata's after a squat session. The 4 minutes are very, very tough. I may persist with them once a week for 6 to 8 weeks.

Not sure I'd be looking to do them more than once a week.
