You'll need a maths degree to figure out who's in pink tonight.

Just one of the top three isnt it? Arroyo and Kiserkovski are maybe 2 and a bit minutes (?) behind the leaders. Its a big group too and if they get organised towards the finish the gap could decrease. Think Porte is more than 1.42 behind them? Havent seeen many time gaps admittedly. Wouldnt trust me though as i dropped out of maths

Sunny, raining, looks very changeable. What you need are some sort of eyewear that can adapt to changing light conditions. Maybe even give protection to harmful UV rays 8)

Do we not get to see Nibali descending. He's psychotic, it's brilliant to watch.

25km to go Nibali has 25 secs on the other 3, with Vino at 1'08"... God knows Sastre is doing.

So, should Nibali have waited for Basso last Saturday?

My broadband is down, can't get live streaming but following on tickers and CN.

    This sounds exciting (from CN):
    15:41 BST (22km remaining from 205km)

Nibali tucks down his chin almost on the floor as he takes one corner. That was incredible.

Is he in a car or on a bike?

Basso did a load of damage on the climb. Impressive. Exciting race

Arroyo group about 3.20 behind. Looks like he should be in pink tonight. Losing serious time though.l Thats a third of his lead over the GC guys gone - and today wasnt as hard as some of the stages to come.

I don't see what Basso has done to suggest he should have.

As good as Basso looked on today's climb, Nibali was his equal, and he's now giving a master class in descending (see Stage 17 of the Tour for more).

I said it before, and i'll say it again... the design of Evan's shorts makes him look a bit tubby

I'm surprised that this amount of damage has been done on a stage like this. Good to see the top boys up there picking back time that was gifted to the others (none of whom are in the first 5 and are at least 3mins back). I expect the GC will adjust itself to what looks more like a true reflection of talent soon.

Good stage for Liquigas. Basso drops as many as possible, Nibali jumps on the descent and with only a few people close behind will be able to stay out there until the finish. On the run-in, Basso gets to draft Scarponi and Evans.

Pinotti is in the Sastre/Wiggins/Arroyo/Cunego/Tondo/Cioni group

They do, but I think it's only on TV though. Saw him a few times in them earlier this year, obviously when he would have been heavier, and his legs don't appear chubby in his shorts.

They just don't translate well to TV? Or maybe it's his positioning on the bike??

I agree, he clearly is in supreme shape, but the shorts design combined with the white jersey doesnt work well... and the TV probably exacerbates it... Hope he gets back in pink... the black shorts look better

The large chasing group is 3 minutes back. I think this means Sastre's lead over Nibali will be cut to 1 minute i think. Wiggins and Nibali will be almost equal on time (will be there a time bonus too?) Arroyo will be 6 and a half minutes ahead of Nibali.

Think it's the horizontal stripes on the jersey. Maybe they need a World Champs jersey that has with vertical stripes :D

So that's 3 Italian stage wins in a row. What was all the fuss about?

Nibali must be so pleased that he is riding the Giro instead of that low grade race in the US!

Going to be interesting to see how he performs in the Tour given his hard riding here.

that's what I thought... did the bunch just sit up and say "sod it, gift em 15 minutes."?

Woah, Basso could at least roll in after Evans and Scarponi given he had a free ride, even if there are a few bonus seconds.

Does seem a little harsh but didnt he do a lot of work on the front going up the climb that helped them get so much time on the chasers?

It's not as bad when he had such a good reason for doing none of the work. I'd understand if he snuck out and took the stage win. And what did Evans do on the climb? Zilch.
