Nice vid.
How much was the camera? Linky?0 -
Nice dude, how was that mounted?"I have a plan, a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a fox." (from the Blackadder TV series)0
-
cameras is £300 ish for the hd 1080p, but if you're uploading to youtube etc i would go for the normal version cos its cheaper. that will give you the same quality as my vid. the 1080p version takes huge amounts of pc processing power to edit as well.
camera is mounted using the goggle mount bolted to the frame as in pics:

That trail looks amazing!
What grading is it??
I'm off to Scotland for 2 weeks this summer traveling round camping and cycling, staying near Glentress so really looking forward to riding spooky wood after seeing this.
JI love the sound my tyres make on dusty single track!0 -

And it's the worst bit of the red Well, apart from Lombard Street but nobody rides that. Fantastic place to ride...Uncompromising extremist0 -

I think Spooky is better than Pennels Vennel
Do admit that it is nothing compared to Super G and Hit Squad Hill though. Now thats a fun ride0 -
peter413 wrote:I think Spooky is better than Pennels Vennel
Nooo, pennel's vennel has the wee rockgarden bit and the alternative raceline and the bit where the stream runs down it and the step/drop thing... Oh and it takes about 1/4 as long to ride to the topUncompromising extremist0 -
...and about a minute to ride down.
If you want to get pedantic then Spooky has the alternative that is secrets and lies
I don't like the rockgarden anyway, always end up going over the bars if I attemt it0 -
dvatc Have you actually bolted the camera mount to the frame, as in drilled holes into it? :shock:0
-
Cool vids, spooky woods is a great bit of trail, though more pedally than you might initially think. That last descent at innerleithen is an absolute belter though! My thighs were absolutely burning after that one, and not from pedalling!0
-
Spooky is fun (whats even better is you've got two more awesome sections of downhill after spooky), my patriot steamrolls over it, can't wait to get the xc bike up and running again so I can nail the jumps again!0
-
i have drilled and tapped my frame
only two m4 holes and in a place that shouldnt cause any problems. i wouldnt recommend doing it as it invalidates any warrenty.
i'll use structual adhesive next time and stick the mount on, but as i hadn't got any at the time i just drilled it. i am very impatient . theres no way the mounts falling of though !0 -
peter413 wrote:If you want to get pedantic then Spooky has the alternative that is secrets and lies
Ah, you can pedal up from the meteorite and do that though. Well, you miss the northshore if you do that but then it's knackered anyway with all the trees down.Uncompromising extremist0 -
super g for me!
dont knock the blue graded dougie bank also! last run down from the freeride park to the hub its pretty intense!0 -

peter413 wrote:Do you mean Good Game?

I'm sure it is good game yea!
When you said first climb , the down part takes you over the bridge over the climb, and eventually brings you right out on the Tarmac road to the hub0 -
why is everyone so horrified about drilling two 3.2mm holes in the side of my frame?
if you look i think you'll find there are holes in most frames for things like bottle cages, cable holders etc and they are all bigger than 3mm.
And for those who prefer super g, heres the link
