I have been living in Livingston for the last 6 and a half years.
There are some reasonable trails around here and it is also legal to cycle on most of the pavements as well!
I need to get up to Beecraigs one day as one of my neighbours reckons it is pretty good up there as well.0 -

Now i've seen this written before about Scotland (or maybe it's just the Lothians?) but I was under the impression that it was wrong?. Though i'll happily be proved incorrect if anyone can find some evidence of this.
I'm originally from Broxburn Ho Hum so not that far from you, live in Edinburgh now though."I have a plan, a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a fox." (from the Blackadder TV series)0 -

Hello mate.
It was made legal in Livingston in 1987 I believe.
Cycling around here is really easy because Livingston was designed with cycling in mind, so there are lots of underpasses so that you can avoid the mainroads.
There are some bridges where cyclists have to dismount, but they are clearly marked.

Don't worry, forecast for next week is light snow and a return to below freezing temps. On Cairngorm anyway.......

Fair doos I guess it makes sense if the town was designed with pedestrians/cyclists in mind. I always knew there was an advantage to "new towns" like livi, I just hadn't quite worked it out!"I have a plan, a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a fox."
