    Hi Pete

    Im doing a similar trip to Italy this summer with my son. Just like you he has an Allez. I hav etried to work out how you have attached teh Top peak rack to the bike. I can see that you hav eused a special seat paost clamp fpr the top , but how have you secured the bottom part around the rear axle. Our Allez has no srew holes aroound the drop out

    As far as I'm aware Spesh stopped adding the rack holes and eye-lets in 2011 or 12. You'll need to use P-clips, something like these: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/tor ... s-ec006759

    If your using an Allez have a look at the size of the rear cassette, if it is a 12-25, get a 12-27 on there.
