20 second time bonus for the stage win, this year?

Great ride by Wiggo. Maybe he'll take have taken a fancy to pink by day 10...

Eurosport tunes in right on time to cover the much anticipated ball change.

RAI webcast couldn't be bothered to wait either. Just one brief shot of the empty podium, then off-air.

It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Its appropriate that Wiggins pulls on his first GT leaders jersey so close to the country of his birth.

Wiggins tries to put the jersey on backwards.
Didn't realise the Giro was posh and had a proper one ready!

He also did a gential "flex" when saluting the crowd!

Ufff.. those Brit riders and their salutes. Wonder if Millar was on an onlooker, bemoaning the celebrity culture...

    aside....

vino's non aero tt riding position and yet being only 5 seconds off the pace is alarming.. did he actually use his tt bars?

Sastre had his "come good in the third" look on

Wonder what will happen tomorrow? Sky have been excellent when it comes to strong individual results but their team tactics in defence of a jersey have sucked.

Still, well done Wiggins - about time he won a TT instead of just saying he was going to win it

I bet Dave B will be ensuring that young Bradley has a wee before he sets off tomorrow, rather than waiting until the final 50km

Guess what? Eurosport have virtually no coverage of the first mountain stage, next Sunday. Motorbikes and tennis. Zoncolan is on the following Sunday, too.
Best of luck with live feeds.........

Isn't that just typical - haridryers and no hopers instead of the beautiful sport
  • Just watched the somewhat shonky coverage via Sky+ and i've got to say that that was a storming ride by the Twigsome one. Risk-taking on every corner in greasy conditions and riding in that very trackie low gear, high cadence compact style that he executes brilliantly. The man has a lot of pressure on him to perform this year and he really threw down a marker to his rivals on his first real major outing of the season. Cadel looks very strong and he would be my favourite for the overall.
In celebration of `Bradleys victory i'm gonna pop a few blues and shimmy on down to the Go-Go-A-Go-Go and get groovesome with an anorexic modette and absorb the blues drenched sounds of The Small Faces and The Who.
See you all on the other side......
Let's close our eyes and see what happens

    Certainly, just typical.
Eurosport International has 3 hours worth, next Sunday.
After a great early season, British Eurosport fail to deliver at the big event.
(never mind, there's always Califonia  )

The Eurosport Player seems to be a better option than the TV channel in this case, then, since there's 5 hours a day coverage on a bonus channel ATM :D
