HI al i will make this short and sweet, does anyone know what brand and model Nicole is riding this year? I thought she was with Pinarello, but not too sure if she isnt stil with Focus. I seem to have lost touch with what one of my fav Pro's is upto this year i know she is riding for the Great Britain squad under Dave Brailsford but other than that i have lost touch.
Any help would be appreciated in pm or on here,

I heard she sent it back because the cassette was worn out when they gave it to her.0 -

Come on guys can we Focus on the main question, there is no point trying to wiggle in some cheap shots on poor Speed_King.
I think the subject has prematurely worn out.0 -

No, says on twitter she's using her old bike, the seatpost she fitted to her dogma cracked on her for no apparent reason.0
-
Given she's riding under the BC banner at the moment, she'll be riding a Pinarello, as part of the deal to supply all the road bikes in Dr Evil's empire.0

Did someone say BE WARNED!!!?Cannondale Supersix / CAAD9 / Boardman 9.0 / Benotto 30000

If British Cycling are so into getting the British into cycling or whatever crap they're trying to spin, shouldn't they be using a British bike maker rather than an Italian (or wherever Pinarellos come from) bike maker?
Makes no senseThe most painful climb in Northern Ireland http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs200.snc1/6776_124247198694_548863694_2335754_8016178_n.jpg0 -

Money talks....................money talks..............................dirty cash I wan't you, dirty cash I need you oh...................................can't imagine there's a British frame builder, capable of making that kind of financial commitment?
Plus, Italy is a big market for BSkyB, so there's a hook there.
Suppose the same could be said for most of the Sky sponsors - Shimano groupos/wheels (Japan), Deda kit (Italy), Kask helmets (Italy), Oakley shades (USA), Adidas clothing (Germany) etc etc...............the list goes on.
Then again, given we don't make anything in the UK anymore, hardly surprising really.0 -
Oh ffs. Over 16% of revenue in the British economy comes from manufacturing so peddling this erroneous nonsense that the UK doesn't make anything any more.0

True, but probably not much bike stuff made here, especially by anyone with enough money to bankroll a top pro team.0 -
WHAT Manufacturer in Britain??????????????Racing is life - everything else is just waiting0

She's riding a Pinarello Prince:

BC Cycling had a pic of one of the other riders on a Dolan in an earlier world cup round though in this pic:

Katie Colclough is just behind (and mostly obscured) by Cooke but is on the same frame as her.0 -

I don't understand your fragmented and rambling syntax?
Perhaps you could go and manufacture yourself an education.0 -

Dolan maybe?
There are some smaller UK manufacturers - but no one that could be trusted to produce top quality bikes for a ProTour team. Even Boardman's are made in the far East.
It's foolish to say that just because the team is based in Britain that everything about it should be British. Unless you want them to start filling the musette bag with fish and chip during Tour stages and filling their water bottles with warm ale. :roll:0 -

Get you.
I made a typo, it should have read 'stop peddling this erroneous nonsense'.0 -
Only messin'.
Although for the record, I don't agree it's "erroneus nonsense".
We (the UK) don't make enough stuff.
Especially bike stuff!
The only thing we appear good at manufacturing is debt.0 -
This isn't the place for such a discussion, but the UK can't compete with low wages in the Far East to be competitive in mass producing bike kit.
There are some UK firms who specialise in making niche products though, i.e. Hope, Royce, Brooks to name a few.0 -
Its a Focus with a Pinarello sticker on it thats been painted over BE WARNED!!!.Cannondale Supersix / CAAD9 / Boardman 9.0 / Benotto 30000
