Richmond Park Training Ideas

Aside from the usual, 3 lap challenege, has anyone else got any training suggestions for Richmond Park.

I am trying to improve my 25m TT times. I usually use RP during the week (i hate the turbo!) for shorter harder stuff, but was looking for some good ideas on how to train there to help improve my 25m TT times.

Thanks

Not sure about TT but I need some hill training so spent today sessioning the two short hills East of Kingston Gate over and over, turning around near each roundabout. Bookended with a few full laps and including ride from Clapham was just shy of 100km. Quite fun actually since it avoided the strong wind in the open areas North toward the cafe.

Fell of my bike turning around on the grass though - front wheel flew out when it touched the sand on the verge of the grass *blush*

Try a 2 lap TT effort . After the first lap take a five-ten minute recovery then repeat for the second lap. Alternatively try some VO2max five minute (above TT intensity) intervals. Five of these would be good with a five minute rest in between each one. Start so that you complete the five minute effort at or near the top of a climb,
