8 miles on the backroads into Chichester.... scenic but windy and showers.
Linked up with the family for a ride up the Centurions way to Lavant and back (6 miles on the bike path) Younger son really enjoyed it... giving us a running commentary from his new cycle computer. Elder son, on his second ever ride since learning, was stressed by the wandering pedestrians, dogs and erratic riders, Thankfuilly he enjoyed the return leg as the path was pretty clear path, and he was pleased to clock nearly 18 mph on one clear downhill stretch. Smiles all round: success!
Loaded bikes on car, and abandoned family...
Scenic scenic ride home... back up the Centurions way to Binderton, over and up to Chilgrove then the climb up through the woods to the top of Kingley Vale. A beautiful afternoond, and fantastic views from the summit which I had all to myself... reached into pack for camera - damn, left it on the charger at home Flew down the descent back to Adsdean... really getting the hang of my new bike now, and with 18 miles for the ride home, that's 32 miles today and ton-up on the Anthem! Took a day off on Friday to go up to Llandegla. Rode the black and red, as well as a play in the pump track. Saturday morning did the Marin in Betws y Coed , embarrassingly took 2 hrs.15min. Yesterday had a 17 mile ride over Conwy Mountain, to Rowen, back to Llanfairfechan on the old Roman road and back over to the Sychnant, 17 hard miles :? . Today, gym (legwork! ) and crash out!0

Had a quick thrash at Innerliethen this morning (very big grin inducing!). Did Inners yesterday as well, and Glentress on Saturday, what an ace weekends riding! First time I've been there and mega impressed, was having to take things carefull as my ribs are still a bit sore from a fall couple of weeks ago.
Spooky woods were great fun, also liked the big climb to the trig at Innerleithen and loved the fast descent.

Did a local ride along some of the Pennine BW and round a local reservoir this morning - about 11 miles. Takes any thoughts of work out of my head.
Went for my first "proper" ride on Saturday on the Diggle Jiggle - another PBW route with a massive (for little newbie me) downhill section to finish. Felt like a king when I got to the bottom in one piece. Sadly for my bank balance, now realise that my slightly modified Trek hybrid is a bit weak and needs upgrading as I'm officially hooked. The wife is already bored of my biking tales and I've only been at it for about a month.0 -
quick 7 mile loop.
Tomorrow it's 16 miles before work, meeting's been cancelled so I'm going to be lazy and not get in till 8.30.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

I gave up after 5 miles of dog evasion and family dodging while riding round the paths in Croxteth park.
Back to Delamere at the weekend hopefully.
Or Rivington.
