This was one of my favourites as a kid; http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Reading,+Berkshire,+United+Kingdom&ll=50.917726,0.612702&spn=0,0.024269&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=50.917696,0.612846&panoid=CbtA-yAdUq6om3-CuvofQQ&cbp=12,280.17,,0,5
Note the hump back bridge half way down! If you were going fast enough you were able to gain some airtime.
Edit; no idea why it says Reading though, as it's about 100 miles away from there!0 -

Yet once again they've simply filled in the hole in the hope it will work. 3rd time lucky...I doubt it.0 -

That Chesterfield hill does look like fun, although the scenery looks rather injurious!

The scenery is all quite soft, so I'm not that bothered about having a shunt. There are a couple of great corners, and you'll hit over 40mph twice. The appearance of clay on the road does make for occasional 'woo-yeah!' to 'ooh-'eck!' transitions though.- - - - - - - - - -

For me it's age. I used to be fine. In my twenties I'd go flying down the steepest hills in Kent reaching 40+ mph. Now I'm too scared to let go of the brakes.
Every accident I've had though was a step towards my current precautionary nature. Said hill in Kent - last time I sped down it about 10 years ago I hit a patch of wet leaves and went flying - and that hurt.
Last time I really tried to combat my fear going down Shooters Hill about 6 months ago a BMW almost physically nudged me into the gutter so he could overtake me going past a traffic island while I was at 35 mph and still accelerating. after that I lost my nerve completely.0
