I have been cycling for about a year along with some body exercises recently. I was 23st in Jan 2009 and now down to 17st due to lots of cycling and less eating. I notice recently my breathing has iimproved. But when i push myself cycling or other exercise, my breathing is all over the place and get breathless but still have the energy. I have a tendecy to lock up my breathing. I can't get my breathing smooth or under control.
Barring no health problem. Are my lungs, aerobic system not developed good, for the amount of exercise i do? Will my breathing improve and more controlled with exercise and weight loss? Am i just unfit still?

First - congrats on the weight loss. Been there myself and know how hard it can be. Keep up the good work.
Second - although you've lost a lot of weight, 17 stone is still a little heavy and so your CV system probably is struggling a little to keep up.
If you continue to exercise you should continue to get healthier and fitter - and your breathing should improve. If not - see your doctor.0 -
Cheers. I think due to the exercise and loss of stomach fat, it has enabled deeper breathing, more oxygen and recently the introduction of lifting small weights conditioned me to breath better, making me feel better.0
