    I always got on well with Matt, I'm not a pistonhead/car enthusiast in the slightest so never got drawn in to the BMW debates.

    People did bait him, knowing what the response would be, now whether or not someone takes the bait is another matter. Matt couldn't help himself it seems.

    It's a shame to see him go, he seemed a top bloke (car stuff aside) and hopefully he will return at some point soon.

    I PM'd him during one flame war and he was doing it on purpose - trolling the troll. He wasn't the biggest troll on here by any means.

    ah well... never liked him anyways.... he had a road bike and liked BMW's WAY too much...

    I think the main problem with Matt was his would miss the point of some posts completely and think everyone was ‘having a go’ at BMW’s. Yes, I have baited him in the past, as I don’t like the 335d BMW’s. And, unlike some other forumites, I’ve actually driven at least half a dozen of them, so am at least coming to my point of view from some sort of actual experience of them.

    An example of Matt missing the point, would be one of last night’s posts by me:

    Wow guys, last night was a little crazy on here. I was never a fan of him bringing his money, surfing and car into most conversations, but in a way i will miss him. :(

    I too am a pistonhead and i leave my opinions at home most of the time but sometimes you cant help a little BMW baiting. :wink:
