Combined workout suggestions

I would like some suggestions for a combined aerobic/anaerobic workout please. I have a 3 hour workout planned which should take care of my aerobic system but would also like to work on anaerobic endurance.

If I went out and did say, 20 mins warm up, 1 min max, 3 min recover X6-8 my legs would probably be toast for the rest of the workout. I thought maybe 1 min max every 20-30 minutes, any other suggestions to get the best out of this kind of session?
