Cyclocosm often does 'How the Race was won' videos which are pretty good. This is the 2009 edition. The tactics by Ivanov in the final sprint are pretty neat, and I didn't notice them until he pointed them out:

That's good news, but I thought there was usually a plane as well to relay the signal?0 -
Maybe they will use alternative technology, the race loops back and forth in a small space so you don't need the air relay, perhaps a truck on a hill will work just as well? But I know nothing about broadcast tech.
A good summary of the favourites at http://pavepavepave.blogspot.com/ , I've picked Gilbert but the race is usually very open, lanky climbers and big sprinters can both have their say. A dark horse selection would be Kolobnev for example.0 -
