Lower back pain

My main sport is rowing, but I've started cycling again for some cross training now that the weather has picked up a bit. I've found that I'm starting to get a pain in my lower back, predominantly on the right hand side, after about 30-45 into a ride. I've just fitted new pedals and new shifters (and rotated my handlebars down a touch to accommodate this) and I was wondering if either of these could be causing my problem.
Any thoughts/ideas if there are any small tweaks I can make to my position to make this more comfortable, or is it more likely to be one of those things that spending more time on the bike will fix?

Personally I tend to get back pain when pushing big gears and not stretching enough after a ride. As long as you do stretches I would say it's just something that will clear up.0
