That colourscheme always makes me think of MC Hammer. Then again, lots of things make me think of Hammer. God he was brilliant.

Just ebayed myself another set of Boxxers, as the first deal turned a bit messy. These are nicer though 8)

Also some shock mounts for the Ellsworth as the ones that were in the frame were worn out (bottom set) and the top ones were the wrong part (seemed to be 2 different shock bushing kits, one of them filed down a bit), shoehorned in, with a bent bolt to hold it together. Nice!

Oh, also some nice FAG bearings, chosen entirely because they have a funny name. I don't know why but I bloody love buying bearings. And taking them out of the wee cardboard boxes they come in (it's always a disappointment if they come in poly bags, they should come in those brilliant anachronistic cardboard boxes, like matchbox cars)

and a set of DMR V8s (only option at the moment).

Had to compromise on the bike as the missus baulked at me buying one that cost more than my car but it should be a good base to start from.

Fingers crossed should be collecting on Saturday, just in time for the crappy weather to return!

  • the one on crc is the mmx mount, not the standard one, it doesn't come with a bleed kit, and the 30.9 380mm one is at £240, its the other 3 sizes that are £199.

the one from merlin is the cheapest online that i could find that was the right size and in stock.
