Well, not ordered, bought, from the good old LBS, a set of green lockon grips for the bike. And they actually match the green already on the bike this time.

Ordered a new mounting bracket for the Morph pump. Been waiting since I got the put for CRC to get spare brackets in stock which hold the pump to the side of the bottle cage and not over the bottle bosses.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Should have asked, I'd have given you mine!It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

But they won't be. They'll be a compromise for both.0 -
you reckon?0

On the very basis that a good bike shoe needs a stiff sole which aren't great for walking in. They can't be as comfortable for both uses as specific shoes would be.0

Ah, good point, yes.
There ARE stif soled walking boots, but I think you're right, current thinking doesn't favour super stiff soles.0 -

Correct and I tried those once and they are crap for riding as the sole does flex in the long run.
Rode with the new Shimano shoes yesterday, not too shabby at all, they are wider than my other riding shoes, so they cover more pedal surface and I am please that they're very comfy albeit a little heavier.
Will test them in anger on FTD this afternoon..
Bought from CycleSurgery in Brizzle yesterday:
ODI Ruffian lock on grips
Lizard Skin frame protectors (as, believe it or not, I've almost worn through some on the AM bike  )
And a bottle of overpriced bike cleaner from the oversized shed of a bike shop at the Forrest of Dean.
Off topic: Bought a cheap and cheerful Land Rover Discovery to gut out and turn into a van for hauling the bikes and mates around.
This one is diesel and not a V8 like the one I recently got rid of0 -
Just ordered an Easton EA50 flat bar. The Giant branded one I have been using is slightly fatter than it should be near the ends, so it's very hard to get some controls on, and the new Superstar grips I've just got won't go on at all...
It also exactly matches my stem...0 -
My friendly neighbourhood postperson should be bringing me;
1x pedros chain splitter (cos mine broke )
1x BBB torque wrench set, been threatening to buy one for ages. i have a noise somewhere on my bike and can't track it down, so a strip and re-build is in the offing.
1 pair Hope M4 brake pads, hooning round a corner on friday night, tree across the trail, not a good time to find out your front pads are wearing thin
Off topic: 1x Sony bluRay player/surround sound all-in-oneMTB's, SC Blur LTc & Cotic Soul (26" definitely aint dead!).
Other, Genesis Croix De Fer0 -

I thought 661 helmets didn't fit you0 -
Nah, Fox full facers and Giro don't fit me, the problem with the 661s was just I'd not been able to find any to try on that I liked but I had a loan of a Comp 2 in France and it was spot on.Uncompromising extremist0
