Losing weight - the dogfood diet

Don't eat ANYTHING for a week before the deadline. Your challenge is to lose weight on a target date, not necessarily to keep it off.0

good lucks with the diet...i just do more exercise if feeling a bit podgy...
as for you having to eat a tin of dog food...at least it's a good excuse when you start sniffing peoples crotches, not to mention enthusiastically humping inanimate objects in public......i like bike0 -
don't be posting on here - get out running, with a massive back pack wrapped in cling film!0

OK that's not bad going, and now at 14.5 stone (6'2" tall) I'm lighter than I have been since 1997. Still ... I have about 5 weeks to get rid of another stone, or else ...
I've been trying to eat plenty of fruit and veg, and swim, run or cycle almost every day. Had to cut out the exercise for a bit as I was ill for a couple of weeks, and I'm gradually getting back into it.
I could try Thermobol or whatever, but my main problem is that I still have a bad stress-eating habit which still kicks in far too often.
My son reckons I'm going to have to have Chappie as it's the foulest smelling dog food out there.
I'm 6' 4" and weight 88Kgs, which I think is just under 14 stone. In the middle of summer I get down to 85Kgs which is about 13.5 stone. To be honest, I dont think I could go any lower without some serious pain. I cycle about 200-300 miles a week in the summer, swim a mile once or twice a week and do a fitness pilates class once a week.
I was over 17 stone when I first started cycling, and found that cycling got me down to 15 stone quite quickly. Once I started upping the mileage my wife was worried that I wasnt eating enough, so I logged it on livestrong.com for about 6-8 months, and it was interesting to see which foods actually contribute the most or least to a useful diet when exercising. It made me a little more aware of the foods that I eat. I dont monitor it at the minute as I am happy where I am weight wise, and know that as my miles build up the weight will slowly drop off again back down to 85Kgs.
If I go any lower than 85Kgs then I have to buy new clothes again.... (0 -

If you only promised to "eat dog food", I'd go for some horse meat.0

Yes.
Mind you, when I was in belize, the chinese restaraunt was next to the vets in the local town. The food was a bit funky, I can tell you.0 -
I went to the doctor and asks 'what's the easiest exercise I can do to help me lose weight?' He replies, 'shake your head from side to side'. I asks, 'how often should I do this?' Doctor says 'everytime you're offered food u fat c**t!'

Try CLA. When I started taking that the pounds dropped off quite quick. This time last year I was pushing 12 stone, now I'm 10st 12lbs.There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...

May be telling you stuff you already know, but a couple of things to bear in mind:
1. The lighter you get, the harder it is to lose the next kg (since all other things being equal, you need less energy the lighter you are. There are obviously lots of situations where this is a good thing.)
2. The cliche about weight loss vs fat loss, ie when exercising--especially if you were sedentary before--fat may be replaced by muscle with little net weight loss (or even a gain).0
