Rodenbach Grand Cru is one of the finest beers I have drunk over there.
The Trappist beers are amazing. Afterwards you'll wish you could Chimay like my Sixtus 8!0 -
OMG I love Belgian beer! There's just so many!
There's a little pub in Bruge called something like the bear in or little bear, they have hundreds of different beers.
Can't help thinking of that weird film whenever I mention Bruge now :?
Have too many dark trappist beers and you'll get the sh*ts the next day. Best to limit them and have some lighter wheat or hops ones

We watched 'In Bruges', the other night, I spent the whole film salivating over the beer, and saying to Wifey:-
'No it's Bruges, if it was Prague the film would have a different name, the clue is in the title'.0 -

Ah.
I just thought you were giving the French name for Belgium...
Still though. Flandrians probably wouldn't take too kindly to the asda 'Belgian' beer being given the French name...0 -

Nope, unfortunately cheap beer is just about my intellectual limit.0 -
Has anyone mentioned Faro Lambic by Lindemans yet?
Drove over to Liege today and thought I'd try it - very nice! It's like a mix of bitter, cider and champagne. Bottle fermented with a lid and a cork! Quite sweet, so probably not to everyone's taste, but worth a try. Only 4.2% as well so you can drink more than two bottles and still be able to stand up....
