Just for the record, and obviously no fish were harmed in the making of this thread, although that is a very large perch, and perhaps past its best as an eating fish, perch are one of the finest freshwater eating fish to be found. Certainly better than (stocked) trout, in my opinion. I spent many a happy summer evening as a lad catching perch and cooking them on a small fire on the riverbank.

As Isaac Walton said of the perch - "A dish fit for a King. Or an Angler."

Thank You blackpanther for your welcome greeting

I am not the majority opinion,I am one opinion ,and the last time I checked I lived in a democratic society where I was allowed an opinion on whatever subject was being debated
I am unlikely to change my mind on this subject

As far as i am concerned
    Hunting for sport is wrong
    Hunting for food is okay
    2009 Stumpy Elite
    2009 Cube Ltd Race
Its the little people in my head that told me to do it....
  • I remember one of my angler pals telling me at the time of the foxhunting ban that fishing would be next on the list, how I laughed at his paranoia!

Where's all this going do you think?
