...And why?

MIne Sainsburys, because I have a small man crush on Jamie Oliver and there range is awesome. Also, good for electronics, and they have a slightly better class of customer.

It's between Waitrose and Morrisson's - probably Morrisson's wins as if I tried to shop regualrly in Waitrose I'd be broke inside a fortnight.

    Why?

food quality and customer service - Waitrose wins on both
however Morrissons still does pretty good food, good choice of beer, lots of reduced prices, fewer chavs than Asda, and not having to put up the gurning face of Jamie Oliver or put money into Lady Tesco's vast empire.
they have a slightly better class of customer.
The Sainsburys round my way are full of middle class tw@ts not quite rich enough to shop in Waitrose.

My current favourite is Sainburys for increasing the size their gluten free range, and catering for my diet nearly fully.

However, I generally go to every local supermarket to get the different gluten free foods.

+1 on the random items there. Almost bought me a compressor the other night until I remembered I had cycled there solely to buy some red salmon..

Booths because they have gorgeous local food and drink at reasonable prices.

Food shopping is balls. I hate having to go to the supermarket- feels like I'm wasting my life shopping at times!

I hate supermarkets and the mrs doesn`t like me with her when shopping because I`m
so misserable. However I have been in Lidl and didn`t seem to mind that, it`s like being
    abroad.

In Bulgaria though, I love going shopping. Best supermarket is Picadilly. They have weird
and wonderfull things on sale and they absolutely BLAST music out. Shopping to Ozzy
    Ozbourne and Metallica - brilliant.

Booths is fantastic! I like the fact it's only got a few stores, it doesn't fall up it's own ar*e.

For me it's Tesco, just because the points system they have is the best. Other than that, I shop at Morrisons as they have good food at decent prices. And lastly CoOp, who have fantastic FT Chocolate, and are also a 30 second walk from my front door for milk.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

I shopped in Lidl last time I was in Spain. You're right, it really did feel like being abroad. Mind you the Spanish Lidl's have a pretty good deli counter.

I kind of like my local Tesco, they've always got what I want, they stock some cycling-relevant stuff which is often on discount, and they've got a good "free from" range. Don't really approve of Tesco in general but they do a good job as far as I'm concerned.

  • More-Reasons for me. I find Tesco too expensive and Morrisons is just on the way home from work. Occasionally go in to Aldi, but also find myself eyeing up random stuff! Walk in for milk, end up looking at angle grinders...lol.
