Had the day off work yesterday, 40th birthday, went out into Peak from Sheff in the morning, and it was bloomin lovely, sun was shining, and it was almost warm! Headed over to Chapel, back up Rushup, dropped down to Edale, cup of tea at Woodbine caff in Hope, and back home.
Did 50-odd miles, went out for lunch with the missus, then came back and finished tweaking me new Planet X that I've built. Will take it out for a proper test on Sunday, when it probably p*** down.
Road race season starts for me on 27th March - cant wait!

Agreed - felt too warm in my longsleeve jersey and undervest, thin lycra tights, full-finger gloves. First day of the year I could have felt happy in short-sleeve jersey, shorts and mitts I reckon !
Warrington to Pott Shrigley, up the Brickworks, Windgather, Goyt, Wildboarclough, Gawsworth and home, 80miles.
However, chilly headwind going back West into Cheshire and ended-up with the gilet on too.0 -
Nothing at all like summer here today - having said that it is raining heavily - just like it did all last summer!0

Absolutely lovely in Sheff today, only thing spoiling it is I'm stuck at work monging off on the web instead of out on bike! Nice for riding to work tho.
Forecast is 13C and sunny today, but thankfully its due to rain tomorrow.0 -

Lovely in Harrogate today. Was out on the road at 6:30am and first time in 5 months felt too warm in base layer and long sleeve jersey!0

I went out at half 8/9. Hit 35 miles - was like summer. Then rode the last 30 in pouring, hammering rain. Got home froze to the bone, but luckily wore overshoes and a winter top as felt fresh, but just went with light t-shirt underneath. Great ride all told though. Loved it - steaming along at 30mph on a flat in the rain, this bloke winds down his window and asks me my speed - I said, 'same as you' - should have seen his face when he looked at his speed!0
