Haha, Garzelli takes 3rd place in two bonus sprints and becomes virtual leader on the same time as Scarponi.

Mick Rogers is going to be getting some evil eyes in the peloton today.

Scarponi reckons he went into yesterday's final corner too fast and let a gap open to Garzelli.

"Rogers let the gap open," Scarponi continued. "He went into the last corner with too much speed, braked and nearly took me out. Hah, maybe Garzelli paid off Rogers!"

Is that Iglinskiy down too? Looked like the Kazakh jersey rather than an Astana one.

    Awaits PaoloButts. :P
EBH looked the strongest in a "dirty" bunch sprint.
That poor Astana rider taken out like a NFLer.
    Looked in agony.
Saw Cav's wheel bouncing along the road, like a Barnes Wallace special.
Must have been s folking problem.

Biggles-Holden might get disqualified after seeing the overhead shot, he veered quite sharply to his left, baulking Petacchi and Farrar.

Whoever it was, looked to be in great pain.
If Hagen Daz gets demoted, it will be down to an Italian conspiracy against we Brits. :?

Weren't they masquerading as the Italian Sky this week and not the British Sky?

So PauloBets is probably not supporting them this week.

If he gets demoted, its a Betfair conspiracy against me winning another £30 from them today

Good to know that a lot of the riders on my sig line are earlier season winners.

EBH great stuff, I think your celebrations are way too goofy and childish though - make them as hard as the power you can rip into your rivals with.

Um.. I doubt he's reading this. He ain't Lance.

Although if he was he might feel a tad nauseous.

Farrar was going mental but it seemed to me the whole bunch moved not just EBH and it was a good 500m out. Seems a bit harsh if he gets DQ'd for it.

Last km. EBH was well out of his line. May have to scratch that win from my sig...

Surprisingly, given this was an Italian race and an Italian was second, he seems to have gotten away with it.

that was not a good sprint

DQ or should be... perhaps unintentional but both Farrar and pettachi had started their sprint

Sprint wasn't too bad IMO, EBH moved but not violently and Farrar never really got going (not because he was blocked), just needed someone to blame but himself.

Cav's crash was interesting, was hard to see on the slow-mo but looked like he went straight over the bars without getting his hands out in time, seemed to recover quickly enough though. The wheel had no hub so would agree with Magnus that the wheel collapsed spontaneously.
