Do you know of any carbon framed bike with a short top tube

I can add nothing constructive to this thread, but being of the long leg / short reach persuasion I'd like to earmark it for future reference. Be interested to hear what you eventually choose.0

I suspect I'd have a bit of a toe overlap problem there, and extreme difficulty turning left. Apart from that.....0

I'm 6'2 and had the same issue, two road bikes that I have that fit me well are a Van Nicholas and an Orbera.
I was told by local bike shop that Spanish bikes have a shorter top tube and tend to fit those that are torso challenged
Certainly my Orbera fits very well.0 -

Orbea less bad in my case - not a good enough fit but it was enough to determine how much I didn't fit by!!Faster than a tent.......0 -
You can buy Trek WSD roadbikes in 56cm size which have shorter top tubes. Some other options here:

The Trek Medone 4.7WSD & Specialized Ruby Comp seem to fit the bill & the BMC SLC though ali/carbon looks particularly good to me.
You may want to replace the saddle, bars & stem but I'd have thought the chances of getting a deal on a large womans roadbike are pretty good as they aren't going to be the easiest bikes for a retailer to shift..Ribble Gran Fondo
Boardman CX Team
Trek 8000
Sirrus framed 'special'

Well I took a 54 Scott CR1 out for a test ride, lovely bike!!
With a 100mm stem instead of the 110mm fitted, and compact bars, I think the fit will be perfect, although I still need the stack of washers supplied as the drop is 100m, which is about as low as I wold go. I still have the option to flip the stem for epic length rides if need be, but with the 100mm drop and short drop bars, the fit is racy enough for me.
I have gone for the Elite version, (£200 over budget) but will sell the Rival chainset and tyres to make some money back.0 -
thanks for taking the trouble to let us know. I'd rather taken a shine to the CR1 myself; I'm waiting to see if this year's bonus will be sufficiently good to justify a best bike purchase.0
