Apparently the riders have woken up to sub-zero temperatures again this morning. And snow! There are a lot of unhappy Tweets floating around the ether this morning.

No word of any stage changes yet.

Yep, according to official website too. The 53 first kms cancelled, not the last (so no reason for panic PTP-changes ;) ). Still a 150km route.

Looking at today's profile, is this the first "valley" stage ever (as opposed to mountain or flat stage)...

The thing is that the start of the stage in St Junien could be the warmest part of the day. The stage will go inland and gain in altitude and only get colder from there.

Km 33 - Three riders broke clear: Yann Huguet (Skil Shimano), Nikolas Maes (Quick Step) and Jurgen Roelandts (Omega Pharma Lotto). The first gap is 45 seconds.

No Valcosoloeil (whatever :? ) in the break !!!

Update on Gregor Bole, the Lampre guy who crashed yesterday:
In France today, second place finisher on the previous day's stage, Grega Bole, wasn't as fortunate. The sprinter was again at the sharp end of the race in the final meters when he touched wheels with the rider in front of him. The contact sent the Lampre rider crashing to the pavement while the peloton was in full flight, giving the riders behind no time to avoid a collision.

The three riders toppling over Bole added insult to injury with the Slovenian taking the fast track to the hospital in Limoges for examination. "No fracture or internal damage, but only a minor pneumothorax [collapsed lung] that won't need to be drained," detailed Doctor Beltemacchi. "Soon Grega will be authorized to leave the hospital so he can join the team at the hotel." The team's doctor said that his injures will prevent Bola from taking the start in tomorrow's stage.

Caisse have already had a lot of riders in trouble. They'll be finding the finsh hard.

Caisse riding on the front. Shouldn't it be Rabobank cos Boom's in the leader's jersey?

That high pitched whine whenever they cut to a helicopter shot is excruciating.

Haven't seen the "aspire today, inspire tomorrow" one yet. Is it still on?

    Sagan. 20 years old!

In yellow too. I almost picked him for PTP given his ride yesterday but thought it was too risky.

    Amazing from Sagan

Was that Voigt in the lead group? Boom finished 20 seconds back

Exciting finish that, and good win for Sagan. Roche is getting close to a big one though, only a matter of time surely.

I feel ill. I typed "Sagan" in PTP today, then thought "nah, he was up front yesterday.

    Grrrr.

    Fantastic talent!

Martin almost takes out Contador, who is obviously going to cause mayhem amongst the plodders, tomorrow.
    Is Sagan the new Kreuziger?

Surprised that LL Sanchez missed that split. And surprised to see Contador pushing on the downhill like that.

    Good old Jens :)

Although not looking great for my PTP pick if he has to work for that bloody mud-plugger tomorrow!

Enjoy it, folks - maybe the only time we'll see a 38 year-old in yellow this year :D
