  • Wouldn't it be nice if she got something rather nasty in the post. Anyone got any anthrax handy
  • And so the carnage continues. A female cyclists was killed by a tipper lorry in Hackney earlier today:

Also disgusted by the Standard article on yesterday's death, mentions the fact that the cyclists wasn't wearing a helmet. As if that would have made the slightest difference FFS! :x

If you feel the shadow of the Grim Tipper on your shoulder be worried, be very worried indeed. Killers of the road.

This is so fcuking depressing. They should ban HGV's betwwn 8am and 7pm. The one yesterday wasn't even supposed to on Weston St from what I understand, that was part of the Shard site agreement.
  • RIP to both cyclists - two in two days doesn't make good reading for anyone

    Stay safe out there

With all the construction work going on there is even more HGV/construction vehicles about.

Big ones, like the kind you see in the movies.

    +1. This is terrible. :(

EDIT: alternatively, HGVs allowed but only outside rush hour periods, such as 10am-4pm or something. A bit like bikes not being allowed on trains during certain times!
    FCN 2-4.

    "Exactly."
  • Just been told the woman killed in Hackney was one of my colleagues from our London office. Not good.

    Oh thats terrible...sorry to hear.

If lorries were banned during certain hrs would it mean even more lorries outside of that time..not everyone does 9-5

Also is there a facebook group campaign about cyclist-lorry accidents?
  • There's a group, ''Cyclists THINK! Watch out for HGVs'' (http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=28903548493)
    but it's not highly active.
