Do they? That's a big shame!

I was planning to get some for my best bike as a summer treat alongside a new sportive friendly cassette and chain.

I've read somewhere that they cut up quite easily. Is that right? Anyone know how they compare to the GP4000Ss (which I find grip very nicely)?

I was using GP4000s before I switched to the Open Pave's. I would say the GP4000s are a bit tougher in terms of their construction and are a very good tyre. However the grip and the ride quality of the Open Pave's are much better. I'm not sure the Open Pave's are as tough as the Conti's. Of the two, I definitely prefer the ride quality and grip of the Open Pave's and I haven't done enough miles yet to really comment on their durability. So far I've only done 200kms on some very poor conditions and no cuts so far (but one puncture yesterday).

Cheers. I used the GP4000Ss at Flanders last year and they performed well. It was a toss up between the Paves and the Contis beforehand. The Contis will be up for replacement soon, I think.

Put them on this week in prep for Flanders.
First ride today and very impressed. Grip was great and noticeable comfort.

Can't say on rolling resistance before a few more rides, but seemed ok. Normally ride
Schwalbe Stelvio/Enduro Plus in the winter and Pro3 Race in the summer.
