Garmin Edge 305 keeps losing signal

Looking for advice.
My Garmin Edge 305 keeps losing satellite signal on courses I've done 20 or 30 times before without any problems. I've had it for 3 years and its been great until the last two or three months.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes?
Garmin have said they can replace it with a refurbished one for £86. Is it worth doing?

sounds like it could be on the way out, ive had my 305 since Nov 06 and it only ever loses the signal going under bridges for a second or two or under heavy tree cover, the fact its losing signal on rides its worked ok on many times suggests a problem, i,m assuming you,ve got the last available firmware upgrades GPS 2.90 and software version 3.20 if not upgrading to them might help0

Yup. It was knackered. Bit disappointed it only lasted three years. Got a refurbished unit from GARMIN for £60, with a years warranty.0
