I have never owned any Rapha kit, so decided to order a Country Jersey. Unfortunately, I missed the boat last year and they were all sold out. I have noted a lot of good threads about Rapha and the quality of their kit etc. Looking forward to getting my jersey.

You won't be dissapointed - my Italian country jersey arrived on Friday and looks great. Usual Rapha high quality. Just need to save a few pennies up to get the arm warmers now...........

Yeh, sadly not supplied with the jersey!

I tried the jersey with my old arm warmers (the ones with the broad refelctive strip and they look all wrong together. I know it shouldn't matter, but at least I can look co-ordinated as I struggle up hills.

Unfortunately they are not doing the Belgium one this year. A great shame.

What, do you mean jersey or arm warmers?
  • Arm warmers yes, jersey no.

Apologies for the confusion. I am going to trat myself to the Club Jersey.

Giant Mancp, are you a fan of Rapha?

yeah I don't mind them. Mostly buy Assos as you probably know, but I have a couple of Rapha tops and shorts and they're nicely made.

Some things they come out with are a no-no, silk scarf and silly man-bag springs to mind  but the quality is there. I had to try and get over the hype you know, so i bought a couple of bits last year and have to say the country jersey has got my interest.

I usually fit a Large Santini or Castelli
  • Went out for a ride on saturday morning with my ancient gear on. Guy decked in full Assos (incl balaclava?!) went passed and ignored me.....presumably as my kit wasnt up to scratch

How pleased was I when arrived home to find my new Rapha Country Jersey (Italian) with matching arm warmers waiting, plus a pair of Assos bib shorts...

Oh yes, doubt he'll be ignoring me next time....knob head!

PS - the top and arm warmers look mint, but you need to get the special edition Italian ones for it to look the business..

You should have just rode up nex to him and kept pace. My partner does that (she is normally Assos'd up) and it drives some wannabe racers nuts especially when she is on fixed :D

Call me stupid (well, most people do) but I can only see the black, dark blue and red jerseys on the site.

Which country is the light blue? What does it look like? Help me. Please.
  • Light blue is Belgium. There's a snap of a dandy sipping his cappucino wearing the belgian one (with their tricolour banded round his arm). Looks v.cool. Would be my choice.

Bugger, I hadn't spotted the pale blue one - that would go well with my white arm warmers.......................

I already have the classic jersey which is the same but both the Italian and the Belgium jerseys look superb. The Italian one really reuires the matching arm/kneewarmers so that's another £100. I did fancy the lightweight pale blue but the UK weather means limited use (I have the black one and it's superb under a gilet). But I need to look at the Belgian one again
