watched the highlights on german eurosport 2. Won't say it was the very bottom and it wasn't a solo as a dom pulled him some of the way. Still good work. But he was knocking out that crappy pistol thing on the podium its looks shite. still thing basso's riding style is much nicer to watch(but clearly not a good[results))

Good performance by Peraud to finish 6th. He was the guy who was the surprise MTB winner of the French TT last year, beating Chavanel. Be interesting to see how he goes this year.
Yes, he won the French TT champs without being a specialist time trial rider, just someone able to ride very hard right from the gun.
  • That climb had some pretty steep parts:

  • you reckon he's trying? giving you new boss, the Tour incumbent a boost up in his first test of the year? no pressure eh?

no wonder he swung off so abruptly when his job was done.

the mexican climbs well, as well as other famous mexicans like Alcala or Rasmussen

LLS is sooo money. No surprise to me.

FF, you should delay your updating of your sig line, its a bit a spoiler when a riders victory count goes up.

  • Sometimes this is a hard way to make a living. Not surprising that it exerts a certain fascination.....
The older I get the faster I was
  • Poor guy, that's tough. You must feel like a little bit of a tit - riding alone and all. Could be a tachnical part of the course and all...

Julich and Zulle had bad luck with that. But this is the 3rd or 4th really bad time in a TT for Millar - poor guy.

I am surprised you even bother looking at it ?
Gasping - but somehow still alive !
  • Nice job LLS. No surprise as notice the kit:

Contador 2nd at 13 secs on a bike I assume he hasn't riden before. Class and talent.

Lets see the other GC contenders take a stage win, or any sort of win, let alone a small stage race at any point before the GTs let alone in Feb.

Contador has form from the go. Who's the boss.

  • Oh that Millar crash looks bad.

Almost as bad as the roads - look a similar standard to the roads round here this winter.

  • Well done Mr Contador, good early season form.

I suppose P-N is the early season target with a break before reappearing for the Dauphine. If he is roughly following the tried and trusted plan of last year I hope next year sees him try a few hilly classics and maybe even the Giro.
