Benoit Vaugrenard wins the first stage. FDJ are motoring!0

This is my type of race, not some boring pan flat riding through deserts getting prizes from Oil rich countries.
Contador attacked solo on the final climb which caused confusion in the bunch which was the platform from which Vaugrenard profited after Contador was caught.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Today's stage is a very hilly 207.5km

"you know who". I sincerely hope you're talking about the chief gurner himself, Mr Floyd 'the roid' Landis. No?When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0 -
Griepel, while a very talented rider, has to be the ugliest man in the peleton.

Unfortunately not.
Couple of crashes early on today. Portuguese champion Cardoso has broken his collarbone and Steegmans' run of awful luck continues... he crashed into a parked car and was taken to hospital, but is apparently OK.
3 man break atm, De Gendt from Topsport, Oliveira from Xacobeo and Sareiva from the domestic Loule team. Astana chasing a 3 minute gap.0 -

Good performance by Peraud to finish 6th. He was the guy who was the surprise MTB winner of the French TT last year, beating Chavanel. Be interesting to see how he goes this year.0
