  • Did you save the data on the unit before uploading?
I've got an Edge 500 and you have to press reset to save the data before upload. Maybe your unit is similar?

So your route has uploaded from your device to TC, but not to Garmin Connect?

I think your best bet would be the Garmin forums and if you don't get an answer there then email Garmin technical support. Their customer service is usually superb.

Have you tried saving the .tcx file from TC onto your computer and manually uploading to Garmin Connect? At least that way you could get your rides into Garmin Connect.

Just asked the question on the garmin forum so will wait and see but thanks for the great advice.
  • I think Garmin connect is useless.

    Try this instead

  • Kepp trying, I have a forerunner 310xt and it doesn't always upload. Sometimes you just have to do an 'upload all'. I use a backup software on my mac such as rubitrack which seems much better at pulling data off the watch as it even manages to get stuff that I have deleted!

Garmin Connect is pretty crap though. Its good if you want to show others one of your workouts/rides, but that's about it. Many people use Sporttracks - its free and once you play about a bit and get it configured the way you want it it's great.

  • Thanks for the tip re. Sportstracks.

Can you copy rides uploaded to Garmin Connect over to it or do you upload straight into Sportstracks?

Garmin took over Motion based right? Why did they close the Motion Based database? That was miles better than Garmin Connect :?

Agreed, tried ridewithgps, but the lack of possibility to edit multiple entries at the same time made it a bit of a pain, when, like me, you bulk upload.
Garmin connect is really improving. Could use a few fancy graphs and all though.
As for sportstrack, waiting for it to be available on mac :(
