Jebus - why didn't they just leave a few skips and boulders on the side of the finishing straight altogether. Who the hell designed that finish?

  • Did Team Sky abandon before the stage after yesterday's efforts? :?

It seems that Gerard Ciolek broke his collarbone in that finishing straight crash.

  • Damn these Qatar roads must be hard...3rd person, as someone from Garmin also broke theirs earlier.

    It's probably coincidence.

Reminds me of that old pro-cycling article where a French coach was moaning that cyclists don't know how to fall properly.

Good to see Boonen hasn't entirely given up on sprint finishes!

Good grief, how long does it take ASO to put the results online?
  • I got a bit excited when I saw what looked to be someone watching the race on the road side about 7km from the finish. Turned out the bike race was just a co-incidence and the road side man had other things to do. Bunch of Norwegians on the finish though.

  • Last few 5kms. The rider who swerves was very lucky not to take out his team mate in the last 500m. Unreal.

    Incredible.

The only visible human beings in Qatar appear to be either Norwegians or cyclists.

I think that's just a fortunate picture, regarding his 'low' position.

His torso was bouncing around like it always does on the vid.

Thanks. At least he was 5th so the coolest sprinter hasn't completely lost it.
