Dissing the national jersey indeed - it dates back to the days when jerseys were knitted - so horizontal bands were the obvious answer. Its not a fashion parade anyway !
White shorts should be illegal though.0 -
ahh, im not old enough to know that. if that is how our traditional one looks then i rescind my "disses" but agree that white shorts do not look good.My Rides:

I think we can credit Boardman/Keen for that one. He had giro make him an unvented helmet for his athlete's hour attempt
I'm pretty sure a few other teams has done something similar - I think it was the Cervelo guys who looked like there was some transparent tape or plastic covering their helmet vents. Something reflected the light anyway - unless it was excessive amounts of wet-look hair gel. :?0 -
I'm not sure if I'm right or not as the pictures on cyclingnews aren't quite good enough to tell for certain, but are Saxobank using 404 clinchers? If so, why?? Strikes me as a bit odd to go for them over the tubulars.Racing for Fluid Fin Race Team in 2012 - www.fluidfin.co.uk0

It will take more than 8kms in Qatar during February, before any conclusions can be drawn.
A bit early to get overly excited.
Exactly my point. We should just enjoy watching some early season warm up races without all the silly commentary on stuff.
However so far this thread has been alright 8)0 -
Forgive my naivety, but there was another rider (apart from Wiggins) for Sky in different kit to the rest of the team. Can anyone shed any light.0

His jersey had Arvesen's name on it though, which I thought was weird. Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur0 -

Thanks. I've just looked at the photos on the Team Sky site and worked it out.
In my defence I wasn't paying that much attention when watching the race :oops:0 -

Hands-up if anyone knew that rule existed...
me for one... theoretically pushing someone through could get you penalized"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. Agree. I quite liked the plain strip Wiggo was wearing but it needed black shorts. Anywhere other than somewhere dry like Qatar and yer playing with fire(!)0 -

I quite like Kristian House's Rapha UK jersey - note black shorts too.... Photos amongst others here http://www.raphacondor.cc/news/team-launch-photoshttp://www.georgesfoundation.org

The GB Endurance squad employed a handsling in a race a few years ago which resulted in the stage winner - Chris Newton? - being stripped of the win.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Would have been interesting to see how quick Sky would have gone if they could have all kept up with Wiggo, EBH and the other 2 who were ripping it up.
This race must be the worst on the pro tour calendar to watch though.0 -

I figured that but would have thought they could afford to have one each. I guess EBH would have a Norway skin suit, were they not allowed yesterday? as they don't seem to have been allowed any other fancy timetrial gear, that could explain it.Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur0 -
still going on with the names on the jersey's being wrong, i have been looking at the photos on the team sky website and if you look at the one of them all on the podium, which someone has posted up on page one of this thread. KAA is on the podium in a black jersey with EBH name on it and EBH has got KAA's national jersey on.
