You're supposed to clean them in soapy water, they're only contaminated by things like grease and oil and other chemicals, soap is fine

Ok well I can rule out the soapy water then - not sure why they are squeeking like a god damn bastard havent had any oil near them!

maybe just all the wet weather, mine have been squeaking a lot too, or maybe your pads are worn.

My FSA Maximus are 710mm and like ilovedirt they feel about right to me. That's why I was looking at the AM version of those Atlas bars. They're 700mm wide instead of 785 like those FR ones.

Yeah I wanted the AM ones but these came up cheap so got them and chopped a bit off

Pads are new so will maybe need to replace should they not get any better!

Well chop 40mm off each end and it's essentially the same bar anyway.

As for the pads, have you bedded them in properly yet? That'll make a world of difference.

They were new about 2 months ago and ive ridden since then with no problems

Liking the bars, but as mentioned above, having a couple more (but not too many) red bits around the bike will spread it out a bit. Looking good
