Luckily prefer Campag, so not tempted by this one. Too many bargains being posted lately - almost tempted by the Colnago at Wiggle (luckily resisted as I didn't need an Alu frame), and now considering the silver/red Arione to replace the black one on my Enigma. I don't need a new saddle, but the silver/red may look good......
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

You're not alone with your temptation...

PX seems to want to get rid of their Ti frames before the new models are introduced in a month or two.
  • I would have bought the Dura Ace had it been 3 days ago. I just keep telling myself Red is lighter and looks better and I have no money left

That's what I think too - very tempting none the less - hopefully they will sell out today to shorten the time I have to agonise over it. I nearly bought a frame only when they were £660 .... but now this.....

Lots of good bargains around at the moment...

  • Full DA 7900 Groupset for £879.99.......

SL Pro Carbon Dura Ace 7900 (complete build) for £1,436.34

    Sh1t that is tempting......

    I cant really afford it....

    Can I ?
    Ca roule ma poule?

I nearly got that, as want to try to build my own bike up, and was thinking convert to single speed?

Luck for me, until our house it built, I have no idea what size shed I can get, so no idea how many bikes I can fit in.

Given the choice, I would go for Red..

    I think

I would have bought a groupset, I have the money, but I'd get a bollocking if I spent it.

If the same deal was on SRAM Red, I wouldn't have hesitated...
As it is, I'm considering a new (another!) frame....

Yea... I was so close to getting 7900 but the deal breaker was having to do it all at once and not being able to use my CNC brakes with it very effectively. I am glad I got red though.. it is sooo light and looks good on the new frame. I want the crankset now to finish it off but have only done 20miles on the Ultegra SL one
  • Damn, no 180 mm cranks.

Not worth it. Although I could call them and ask.

  • Hmm, Planet X are now doing SRAM Red for £875, unless I'm very much mistaken...

No options for the chainset or cassette though.

Normally use Campag, but for £875 am tempted....

Me too (the bit about being tempted, not the bit about Campag - I've only ever used Shimano). Anyone like to explain the difference in shifting between Shimano (I have Ultegra) and SRAM Red? I've heard some people saying that it's quite different, but I have no idea how...
  • It uses double tap so you just use one lever for both up and down shifts. It is quite different but is pretty easy to get used to.

I am proper gutted now having just recieved my Red stuff... grrrrrr

Hehe... got to laugh though about taking months to make the change and then a few days after I buy they do a good offer.

Do you mean that you just use the lever behind the brake lever to do both up and down shifting (rather than the brake lever to shift to a larger cog and the lever behind it to shift to a smaller cog like Ultegra?) I probably should be asking this in Road Beginners, but never mind.

Order another set at £875, and then return it saying it's the £995 one you're returning 8)
