Could I justify selling my family for this bike?

Disclamer: This post is tongue in cheek and in actual fact I have no intention of selling my family
For a while my dream bike has been based around a Colnago EPS. The only problems being a) I didn't like any of the colour schemes as I prefer black and the current colours look a bit 80's ski gear to me and b) I couldn't afford it.
But now reason a) has well and trully disappeared as I found when I discovered the following images on weight weennies for a new finish for 2010 (which made me yelp out loud)
So to problem b) would it be ethical to sell my wife and children to finance this build?
Should I be ashamed to even consider it? Yes, yes I love and cherish them deeply but its a naked carbon weave Colnago EPS!!
Please help me Bike Radar Forumistas, you are my only hope.
(by the way I voted 'No' - just)

Selling the family's a bit extreme! Just a kidney should suffice.0

I voted 'it's only a bike!', but only just
I have been drooling over the 2010 EPS for the past week, or so...
My dilemma is not 'selling the family', but the fact I can't get on with Campag, and the purists still can't get over the Italian/ American mix, as I like SRAM
I did note in the Colnago catalogue which came with this months C+, page 9 is an EPS with Dura Ace.
I may go for the CX-1, as it's a little lighter and is Taiwanese, too!
Just buy it, man.... Go on!Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Definatley a no - it looks like a lead drainpipe !0

like your family is worth enough to buy one... :P
I'd stop feeding them to pay for one though. Gravel is cheap right?0 -

I voted No but for a different reason. You should have a "No - unpainted carbon is so 2009"
What you want is pure white with black lettering. 8)0 -

Am I missing something ...
Is that a 1.5" headtube with a pair of 1.125" forks inside? I would have thought that it would have tapered forks that would take a 1.5" lower bearing and a 1.125" upper bearing. Otherwise it seems to negate the advantages of the wider headtube.
Does look great though0 -

Looks cheap and nasty compared to a Master XNorfolk, who nicked all the hills?

Hmmmmm..... Master X, very nice, but the EPS in our LBS is jaw dropping gorgeous. My 4 year old noticed it before me, and came running to get me, shouting 'Daddy get it!'... Bless himStart with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0

Post us some pics of your wife and maybe we can agree a price0

Not a massive fan of the way it looks personally...If you want unpainted carbon with only a few decals get yourself a planet x...I don't really get the infatuation with Colnagos. Yes they have 'heritage' but I object to buying a bike based on that the same as I do buying a bike from a company that spends sheds on marketing, specialized for instance. Just an excuse for a higher price? Go with something custom instead!Racing for Fluid Fin Race Team in 2012 - www.fluidfin.co.uk0

Go for it! It's an EPS and it's Colnago - nuff said!! Not my choice of colour but each to their own and don't forget the pics when built0
