most of my jeans are skinny fit but now i'm taking the biking more serious i'm having "quad girth issues" with them. i like 501s for lounging bout in but a slimmer cut looks smarter on me imo. luckily levi do 511s which are slim fit so about halfway between straight and skinny. don't think ve got the genetics to get quads big enough to trouble that cut.
as for biking in skinnys tho - jesus, why make things harder for yourself? not only do you have to turn the pedals round but the jeans resist your every move too!

501s pah, last time i went to buy a pair of 501s i tried on the 34" (i measure up at just under 33" waist) and i couldn't get them up much further than my knees, christ even 38" looked like they were painted on over my thighs, and i ain't got enormous thighs, walked out of the levi shop cause they had no 508s (it's ok ladies i put my jeans back on, no swooning at the back) and went to the g-star shop instead.
    Fancy a brew?

Before I got into baggy cords, I used to buy my jeans from the Oasis underground shopping centre in Brum, Bolt Bleu FTW 8) big enough to fit both my legs down one side (and I have beefy legs)

Two young chaps were wearing skinnies the other day walking along the pavement while me and the missus were in the car stopped at traffic lights.

She burst out laughing, saying why the fck would any man want to make themselves look even more weenie and gay than they already are.

OK, for all the doubters out there..... here's the beef
i dont normalyy ride in jeans, for me its shorts all the way, jeans are for local street blasts, and DJ sesh's.....
they arnt that tight, more slim fit than skinny.
they were lying in a rubbish bag on my landing, i didnt know they were girls untill i saw the label, they are about 3 sizes too big, and a belt is essensial, so i can just about fit my legs and balls in, but its tight......
and all i can say is that i like them......
    so shut up!
also, they are super good for ridin!

loose jeans for me, i like putting things in my pockets.

lawman you might pull Hayley Williams in your skinny jeans but trust me she'll be thinking of the punk at the SU bar in his baggy jeans. besides them skinny fit jeans are cut all wrong, they often don't go all the way up to the waist always hanging half way down the ars*.

    Punks in baggy jeans?

Hmmmmm not convinced on this for either blokes or girls!!

For the guys - definite no no unless you're into supercamp emo rock, and for the girls unless you are pretty tall and very slim (not skinny, well proportioned slim) they don't do you any favours either. My mrs is a small size 8 and bought a pair in a fit of shopping madness only to realise how in the cold light of day they really do nothing even for her tiny figure.

Not a good look as far as I'm concerned! And WTF is with the skinny jeans available up to size 16? That is a world of wrong.......
  • not all skinny jean wearers are emos! well i'm def not, i like proper music.

i've got a well messed up physique - quads just above the knees are only 15" (my upper arms are 14" :? ) and only 20" at their widest. 28" waist but 42" chest. funnily enough i find that levis are the only ones that fit me (maybe it's the elusive fourth somototype - levisomorph). maybe my jeans choice will change as i swim less and bike more? still be taking the slimmest cut i can though :P

Skin tight jeans are better on ladies than blokes .

Blokes that wear such pathetic jeans should be shot ,, what with all the talk about about banning burkha's skin tight jeans are a epic fail on blokes and very girly and should be banned

Any of my mates decided or attempted to wear them would be subjected to verbal abuse for the rest of the night ..

oh dear.... i sem to have made a fool of myself.....
i put these jeans on... and seen as they hug my disproportionately large thighs extreemely tightly, i presumed they were skinny fit.........
well, turns out im wrong.... apparently (according to my mum.....) they are infact a baggy boot cut..... 2 sized too big.....
so basicly... they arnt skinny by design.... more by the sise of my legs (pretty darn huge....)
for all you people saying that im an emo..... well, no, i listen to proper music.... and i have short hair......and i NEARLY ALWAYS ride in shorts/3/4

oh... and my fave trousers are super (and i mean supper) baggy old jeans, closely folowed by some super big cords...... 8)

BTW.... where do you get some of them tarten things....?

    i want some.... :P

  • Dude, whether the label in the jeans say skinny, baggy or whatever, they're still skintight on you and they are still actually your sisters jeans!

Its ok though, soon enough you'll discover that your sister isn't the only girl around, and that girls are for more than just sharing clothes, hair and make-up tips...

When you ride wear shorts, if you're riding street or DJ, wear jeans that let you get knee/shinys underneath, when not riding look for jeans with MENS written on the inside that dont come from a shop where every employee is called Tarquin or Dirk Diggler...!
    Grow a pair! :P
Giant Reign - now sold :-(
Rockhopper Pro - XC and commuting

well, i have to admit i didnt, i just saw them and thought "ohh, some jeans.... they'r quite nice...OK, theyr mine now".... then i thought, "maybe they are my sisters".... but by that point i was wearing them, and couldnt be bothered to take them off.

and the only other things in the bag were 10m of brown cord fabric... (random, i know....) and a pair of old shoes....

My dad once went out wearing my mum's jeans.

He was stood in the pub with her and his mates saying "These jeans feel very snug, I think they might have shrunk in the wash" to which my mum replied "That's probably because they're mine dear..."
