My first 100k too - round in 4:28 - no problems with the signs though I was more intent on finishing than on a good time. My Conti Gatorskins were perhaps a good investment - no punctures.

Hopefully the weather will be kinder next year 8)

LOL ive just bought some gatorskins because of the puncture I got yesterday :)

I had three spare tubes, two CO2 cartridges and a pump - also stopped to help someone - just to be sure the puncture fairy stayed away ;-)

On the route back nr Woodbridge I completely missed a turn as I was busy watching 2 planes doing stunts, had to turn back 1/2 a mile to get back on route lol

I first heard these near Sibton - the sound of planes doing aerobatics is pretty impressive - but couldn't spot them and they may have been above the cloud layer. Later on I saw what I assume were the same ones, a pair jointly looping the loop and doing flick turns above fields near Kenton. Both were biplanes - Pitts Specials?

Markos was that aimed at me, if so im no way quick enough to race, but was planning to go and watch one of the events :)

Si, just bought another Cervelo bottle as ive been wanting some bigger ones to save carrying the extra bottles in my jersey pockets, and there is ALOT of stuff that came with it all for £5 :)

John, not sure what they were to be honest but they looked the same as some I saw at the Lowestoft airshow last year - not too good with the old bi planes, better with the jet era :) but they were over my head hence the mis-direction lol

Ps, anyone know how to get chain oil out of lycra shorts? :(
