So how do you spend the savings made by cycling?

Last week I saved £40 on car commuting costs. (I get a £5-50 rebate each time I don't have to pay to cross the Severn bridge )

Last week I spent £27 on replacement tyre & tubes after a badly adjusted brake took out my rear tyre. :oops:

Today I spent £57 on a blingy looking Spring top layer windproof, here

net loss £44. I can claw it back this coming week if I keep my wallet closed. :roll:

a nice softshell jacket imported from the states £200

a toppeack rack and bag £75

umm im sure theres more..


I want to sell the car but i need to pick up the littlun from nursery every day and I dont have the heart to make her go 15 miles on a child seat.

So all I "save" is petrol on 20mile round trip per day... but its spent 10 times over already!!
