So, we've had info that we have to raise our awareness, due to "info" received.
But, we can't be told what type of threat,
or to who,
or where,
how or
even when...

So, we have to keep a look-out for...I dunno what!

But, if there is an attack, the Govt will say "See, we told you so!"

Top Secret? More like Top Cat!

  • Yeah.. noticed that as well the other day. Home Secretary said they've received no intelligence to suggest a terror attack is imminent... so why the hell raise the level then you scaremongering b*stards?!

because our estimed leader will be giving evidence soon and we should all be grateful there are men with nerves and minds of steel to protect us. Men in fact just like Gordon Brown We should all be grateful and vote the man in again for his honesty and fothright approach. after all he personally stopped the world banking system from melting down.

The man is responsible for sending men and women to war and the other day i heard him say in an interview re Haiti that he has sent a boat (terminology?) called RAF something. This idiot doesnt know what RAF stands for or presumably the initials HMS. and now his government tells us weve to be more vigilient because of the threat but we cant tell you what, just be afraid be very afraid.
  • It Wombles. They've been seen taking photos of CCTV installations across the capital.......

    Sorry.
  • Who has been seen? Arif from ADT or Hussain from Chubb or was it Uncle Bulgaria. I think the security service is probably more competent than the idiots in charge. Or at least i hope they are!

Perhaps it is a Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship, in which case it is not a HMS.

    I wouldn't bet on it....
  • Purely political.

As someone else has said, look who is facing the enquiry soon, not only one Mr Blair, but also his partner in crime, Mr Brown.

...oh, and there will be a general election soon.

Pity the tories voted for the war, otherwise they could rip this government to shreds over it.

Absolutely correct... mainly to cover Brown when he goes to the inquiry and so people have in mind that terrorists are all around us so anyhting they did was right

Britain is sending the Royal Fleet Auxiliary supply ship Largs Bay. ie the RFA Largs Bay. Listen with both ears and entire brain next time.

I find it ironic they raised the level on a day when over 2000 photographers turned up in London to protest how Police treat people with cameras.

Has anyone also noticed how 200 English Defence League members turned up in London today also. Bunch of t*ssers. They also got more news coverage than many more important issues.

Cant wait for the election.... :?

why..? so you can kick out one bunch of crooked, devious, self-interested tossers and replace them with another bunch..?

Irrespective of who wins the next election, the only certainty is that nothing will change. We can all vote out a dour scotsman with no interpersonal skills, and instead we can vote in an old-Etonian toff with no interpersonal skills....sounds great....

Because it would make them look incompetent?.. not that it already hasn't.

Being Manchester you'd thought that they would be used to all sorts of white powder coming and going
  • They might not be sure what the powder is yet. Even if it turns out to be harmless you still can't take a chance. It's not like tv where someone dips a finger in and tastes it!
